Strength
BOOK 1 of the Mortal Guardians Series

Save the world or study for calculus? Roxie Lohr wishes all her choices were that easy.
Between college applications, boys, and homework, she doesn’t have a lot of spare time to figure out why intense emotions make her eyes glow (freaking glow), or why she has the weirdest feeling that someone or something vital is missing from her life. And, it’s not like the answers, when she starts to get them, are reassuring.
Sure, she finds Aerigo, the one other person whose eyes are like hers, and yeah, he unlocks some crazy hidden powers in her. All that hardly makes up for the fact that she and Aerigo are a species literally being hunted to extinction by someone a lot more powerful and a whole lot more insane. This is hardly the post-graduation summer road trip adventure Roxie had in mind.
Faced with strange prophecies, mad gods, and debates about the tensile strength of the fabric of reality, Roxie must learn to accept the unbelievable and believe she is strong enough to fight back. The alternative is everything she is and everyone she loves will cease to exist...or worse.
Strength is the first in the four-part Mortal Guardians fantasy series by Angela Guajardo sure to please fans of Holly Black, Tracy Deonn, and Sarah J. Maas.
Courage
BOOK 2 of the Mortal Guardians Series

Ever hear the old joke about ‘those whom the gods wish to punish, they first make mad?’ Roxie Lohr is about to find out that there is absolutely nothing funny about mental health.
She is not just debilitated in body because of dragon venom poisoning, but she’s trapped in her own mind, locked in a battle with her worst nightmares. Aerigo’s self-control is hanging by a thread. If Roxie dies because she took the dragon venom darts meant for him, he might just snap with divinely deadly consequences, putting a target on his back for the rest of his life.
Roxie and Aerigo are the only ones who can stop the mad god Nexus, whose armies of the gods are gathering to fulfill a prophesy that will bring all of existence to its knees before him. But, they’re about to discover that the worst monsters may live inside them, and not everyone will make it out of this fight alive.
Sacrifice
BOOK 3 of the Mortal Guardians Series

You know what sucks worse than being dead? Not being dead but being trapped in the Realm of the Dead.
Roxie Lohr is having the worst string of bad luck. Not only does she have an incompetent immortal mortal enemy who can’t even kill her correctly, but she has lost her love, her purpose, and—if she stays much longer in the Realm of the Dead—her life (for reals this time).
She’s not the only one with issues. The god Baku discovers that his son Nexus may not be the problem child everyone thinks he is. Well, maybe he is, but something…or someone…else has been pulling his strings for a very long time.
With the war of the gods raging and a new and deadlier enemy on the horizon, Roxie must risk everything she has ever loved and sacrifice everything she has ever wanted to stop a deadly prophecy from tearing apart the universe.
Resolve
BOOK 4 of the Mortal Guardians Series

A god has attempted to harness the Voice of Prophecy and failed. And gone mad. The last time this happened, Creators had to scrap the universe and start over.
Five years of peace and quiet for Roxie and Aerigo come to an abrupt end when a literal dead dragon drops from the sky and creates a huge pileup on one of Phoenix’s major highways. They barely finish cleaning up when more magical rifts tear open all over Earth. And then all over every inhabited world in the universe.
Many gods fear and hate Aerigo and Roxie because of their power, but all four Aigis, including Sassy and Daio, are their best bet at avoiding another do-over—well not so much the latter. Daio can’t seem to harness Frava, much less Mana, both halves of an Aigis’s power, and that makes him an easy target for gods who’d rather solve their own problems with no Aigis around.
With the fabric of reality fraying everywhere, the mortal and divine realms are in desperate need of Daio figuring out how to stop being dead weight, or no one is going to get out of this alive.
Resolve is the gripping conclusion to the Mortal Guardians series.
